Synopsis

It's a love story involving a mute clown, a blind gypsy fortune-teller, faux FBI agents, an award-winning poet teaching fiction, and the last Kickapoo Indian girl born in Champaign County, who along with her pacemaker, has returned to the Land of Lincoln to find her parents but finds Emily and Jacob instead. a telephone operator dropped out of college after a trauma and plotting to kill Ronald Reagan. a sad luck divorced college student mourning the lost time with his daughter each and every day. All in the year of our Lord, 1986. Along the way you'll encounter a brief history of computers, a not so brief history of the Kickapoo Indian Tribe (told in an unorthodox manner), a revisionist view of Abraham Lincoln, and of course the most essential elements of a good love story - sex and laughter.
