When Doctor Leonard Bordon went to Columbia he had no idea that he would stay two years instead of one, or that he would marry the most lovely woman he had ever seen, and end up in the distant, little known and insular village of Puna in the Magdalena Valley. The rich landowner Jorge Ritter Avula opposed both progress and Doctor Bordon until a gunshot laid him low. There was misery, anguish and intolerable ignorance and Leonard Bordon had to overcome all of it. It was not an easy undertaking, but then Doctor Bordon was no ordinary doctor.
