Synopsis

A weird visit from someone in the Dreamscape is merely the beginning for Kitty’s latest adventure… It’s a great day for Earth as the President and First Lady, better known as Jeff and Kitty Katt-Martini, get ready to christen the Distant Voyager , Earth’s first long-distance manned spaceship. Sure, it was designed by runaway Vatusan royal prince Gustav Drax, but that just means it’s special with a side helping of extra. However, when the ship’s AI seemingly grabs Jeff and Kitty, and about a hundred of their nearest and dearest – and yet, not most of the astronauts or all the people you’d expect – and gets them inside the ship, that’s one thing. When the Distant Voyager decides to launch itself, that’s quite another. And when the AI, who Kitty names Mother, alters who can man which positions and refuses to listen to anyone other than Kitty or Tim Crawford, all bets are off for what’s actually going on. A mad race around the galaxy leads Kitty and Company to a variety of solar systems in need of their special brand of assistance. Friends and enemies from long ago and far away get involved, but the real test isn’t whether or not everyone can survive the trip – the real test is that to save the galaxy, they just might have to leave it.
