Synopsis

When Juliet Hochstettler’s family moves to Unity to help rebuild her uncle’s store that burned down, Romeo Yoder remembers how they were best friends as children and falls in love with the woman she has become. Unfortunately, their fathers hate each other. Amos Hochstettler and Elmer Yoder blame each other for a tragic, fatal accident where each family lost their youngest child twelve years ago. The Amish community of Unity, Maine, should be a peaceful place to live, but their petty bickering is disturbing the peace, setting everyone on edge. Juliet’s father hopes she will marry Paul, his brother's employee, but Juliet finds him awkward and uninteresting. After sharing secret kiss, Juliet begins to meet with Romeo in secret, even though she knows her father would be furious if he found out...and he eventually will. Her hot-headed brother, Tybalt, only adds fuel to the feuding, which starts a wildfire of conflict within the community, leading to another devastating and possibly fatal accident. Will Romeo and Juliet’s love unite the two quarreling families, or will the constant fighting cause their own tragic ending?
