It's the start of summer, an exciting time for Jennifer Bruce. She's been chosen as an apprentice actress at the Kennebunkport Playhouse on the coast of Maine, and has a full summer to indulge her love of acting. But Jennifer finds herself playing the female romantic lead in private to two very different males: Buddy Phillips, a fellow student actor, and Tim Moore, the company's leading man, handsome, and seventeen years her senior.
