In 1836 a band of Comanche rode into Fort Parker, Texas, and kidnapped Margery Mackinnon, leaving her five brothers orphaned. The brothers wound up in different parts of the world from Nantucket to California to Scotland, finding love and adventure wherever they went...and always searching for the sister they lost.
