When Dr Sara Linford accepts a job in Gavin Morland's practice, she assures him there will be no personal complications. From the start Gavin makes it clear that he is a confirmed bachelor and she herself is dedicated to her career and has no desire for marriage. But Dr Gavin Morland, besides being a confirmed bachelor, is devastatingly attractive - a fact she finds impossible to ignore.
