Synopsis

Johnny “The Surgeon” Carlo is everything a made man in the Mafia is supposed to be. Smart, loyal, and honorable, he’s also one of the deadliest assassins on the streets of New York City, killing any who dare oppose the Argento crime family. Often working alongside him is his best friend, Vincent “The Shadowman” Lupo, and his girlfriend, Aurora “Lady Blood” Argento, who is also next in line to run the family. However, times are changing, and the La Cosa Nostra families have united together along with the Russian Mafia, Triads, Yakuza, and the Mexican drug cartels to form a national conglomerate with the intention to control all crime in the country. Unfortunately, as they expand, the new syndicate, known as The Family grows more ruthless. Johnny’s loyalty to the Argentos and his own personal code of honor clash. Then he makes a fateful choice; he goes on the run to New Orleans, hunted by those he once loved. Licia Abraham is the best homicide detective in New Orleans. Brilliant, beautiful, honest, tough, and dedicated to protecting her city, Licia is the example to follow in the police department. But after being put in charge of investigating the gangland slayings orchestrated by two opposing gangs, Licia must come face to face with her own father, Frank, the head of one of the warring factions. Love can be truly unpredictable, and when Johnny and Licia cross paths, they both find it harder to resist the mutual attraction for each other. Despite their respective paths in life, they fall in love. But The Family is growing tired of Frank Abraham’s defiance of their plans, and when Licia herself is added to their kill list, Johnny jumps back into the fray. With the odds stacked against them, will Johnny and Licia walk off into the sunset together or walk into their respective graves?
