Synopsis

Hallie Sayer has been divorced longer than her marriage lasted. Pushing her mid-thirties now, she’s been in and out of emotional entanglements since then, but she’s never fallen hard enough to take the marriage plunge again. In fact, as much as she enjoys dating and nightlife, Hallie’s not sure she believes in true love. Not anymore. Owen Darcy is fresh out of a broken engagement. He’s also Hallie’s best friend, and he wants her to cheer him up—which is why he invites himself along on her solo vacation to Flamingo Island. Owen’s ready for day drinking on the beach and dancing the nights away with other tourists in the clubs. Hallie, frustrated with Owen for bombing her solo vacation, finds herself jealous of the women he flirts with, irritated when he scares off the hot guys she finds attractive, and a little bit attracted to him. Convinced it’s just the beach party scene making her look at her best friend in a different light, Hallie vows to get through the vacation with her sanity, her heart, and their friendship intact. But when Owen turns on the charm, will she be able to resist?
