Synopsis

Visionary and bakery owner, Rosemarie Hamill sees the man of her dreams at a New Year’s Eve party. Only she’s engaged to someone else. Sort of. Quickly, Rosemarie finds herself torn between her lean nonchalant cowboy, and dark hair, dark-eyed and most inquisitive chief deputy from the New Year’s Eve party. Her son, Peter, shows up at her door in a mental crisis, and Rosemarie is thrown into a tailspin. Then Peter moves back home, and Rosemarie is faced with his paranoia and her inability to ask questions. She longs to return to a simpler time of almost being engaged to her childhood friend, and the man she’s attracted to isn’t law enforcement asking probing questions. When Peter invites her to a weekend retreat, Rosemarie is excited to meet the people who gave him the lift in his voice and the smile on his face. Among attendees of the retreat and tour of the cold war bunker, four friends also born December 13, 1975 at Mercy Hospital in Valley City, North Dakota. Rosemarie discovers her worse a commune. Then tragedy strikes and a woman goes missing. All five friends have information that blows the cover off a trafficking scheme. But only Rosemarie has seen too much.
