Synopsis

Cara Brooks, a high-flying property developer, has everything in life she could possibly desire - apart from passion. Tired with her rocky relationship with husband David, she's overwhelmed on meeting Sirena, a younger, beautiful woman she encounters one snowy evening in a Mayfair hotel bar. Cara knows she needs to make life changes but is unsure whether she can enter into a serious relationship with a woman. While battling her conflicting emotions, she is dishonest with those she cares about most. She soon realises that her desire for true happiness will bring complications into her otherwise carefree life. But does she really know what she truly wants? And is she strong enough to put everything she holds close to her heart at risk for her own pursuit of passion? Meanwhile, Elle Milne-Smith knows only too well that with her sultry beauty she can have anything she wants. She equates her love for each gender with her adoration of money; the beautiful roughness of coins, versus the soothing smoothness of notes. Elle embraces her fulfilling family life with successful husband Makram and two wonderful children, but is also secretly involved with gorgeous twenty-something Lyra. Her husband and mistress satisfy all her needs - but when a series of unexpected implications start to come into play, her indulgent lifestyle is turned upside down. Sexy yet understated - like the perfect little black dress - Chelsea Wives and their Mistresses is a seductive snapshot of London's 'glamorama', revealing the intimate secrets of High Society through a thrilling new voice.
