Sera has her element, her Genus, and a family, but life is far from perfect. Sera’s element continues to flare up, and it’s putting not only herself but those around her in danger. She needs to find out the reason, but researching the flares brings her back into contact with Chester. He claims he doesn’t mean her harm, that he’s there to help, but he wants to come between her and the guys, setting off all of Sera’s red flags. If that’s not bad enough, Brooks’ family continues to put pressure on him, and he refuses to open up about what’s going on. As his Genus, Souta, JJ, and Sera are supposed to be his support, but he’s keeping their bond hidden from his family.
