Darcy might be the only student at East Point Prep who cleans after school for discounted tuition, but she’s determined to stop feeling sorry for herself and try harder to fit in. When she finds out that her long-time crush no longer has a girlfriend, she and her best friend Maya make plans to get his attention. But plans go awry, and Darcy finds herself at an all-time low. Now, with an essay deadline quickly approaching, Darcy must pick herself back up and figure out what defines her. Just when it seems like she’s run out of options, Darcy’s given an unexpected volunteer opportunity with an after-school gardening program. Through gardening, Darcy finds happiness, fulfillment, as well as friendship with the cute guy from the arts school. But is Darcy setting herself up for more disappointment, or is the relationship strong enough to last when gardening season comes to an end?
