Synopsis

Across the centuries, their bond will never break... Separated from each other by prison bars, terrified of the future, Neve and Hugo are fighting to survive. But just when all hope seems lost, an unexpected visitor arrives with an audacious proposition--one that could change the course of their fates forever. Battling to free her husband and stay one step ahead of their accusers, Neve has never lost hope for the future. And then comes the shocking news that leaves her shattered: Hugo has died in prison. In her darkest hour, Neve must summon the strength to identify the body, only to discover that this man is not her husband... But with Hugo now presumed dead by the world, a shroud of uncertainty descends upon Everly Manor. And Neve's relief soon turns to worry at the absence of her husband. Where is Hugo? Has he vanished into the depths of history, or is there still a glimmer of hope that they will find their way back to each other? A page-turner full of emotion, passion and gripping suspense. Perfect for fans of Diana Gabaldon, Paula Brackston and Susanna Kearsley.
