Synopsis

When young Alexandra Tempest went alone to the uncilivised regions of the Amazon to look for her father she was prepared to find life very different from the security of her English home. But she hadn't expected to find it downright unpleasant and dangerous, so at first she was grateful to the masterful Declan O'Rourke when he whisked her out of a difficult situation and proceeded to take firm charge of her. But Declan was devastatingly attractive, and it was not long before Alexandra had exchanged one danger for another - that of falling in love with him. For Declan was far too old and experienced for her; he thought of her, and treated her, as a child - and in the sophisticated Clare Forman he had a more than willing woman of his own sort anyway…
