Donna believes that she is right to devote herself to her disabled father. She also believes that she has the support of Keir, her childhood friend. But a chance business deal between her father and wealthy Lyall Allingham makes her realise that she is mistaken about her father's needs. She goes to Ireland to care for Morag, a blind teenage girl, but is soon torn between the two lifestyles. However, Morag knows who Donna belongs with and is not afraid to intervene.
