Vickie could hardly be overlooked by the managing director's son, she collided with him twice in one day. When James gives her a lift home, Vickie mentions that she is soon to marry the company's overseas representative. When Des is taken hostage in a Dutch bank raid, James and his parents help her through the ordeal and she is forced to admit that James is not such a formidable young man after all.
