Synopsis

“You didn't think you were the only Rider, did you?” In the wake of Olavi Sture’s attempted siege, the kingdom of Lamid rebuilds with steel and rumors. The two-month disappearance of Katla Vistel is almost as common a subject as sightings of The Dragon Rider…and the land is not so accepting of the elusive shadow, or his dragons. Aidan is finally returned to his birthplace, but a life with his human family is not quite all that he dreamed. With Olavi in the wind, it seems traces of trouble or release are scarce…until a girl carries in knowledge of a Sigurd plot on the back of a dragon. Eager to escape the confines of Lamid, Aidan sets course for kingdoms across the sea, where familiar faces and shared blood await. And he is not alone. As Katla tries to navigate the delicate balance between the life she has known and that of a dragon rider, she fights to forge a Bond between herself and the fledgeling Bluebell. However, Katla is not the only one who stumbles in the minds of dragons, as Aidan must traverse the potential dangers of his own open soul.
