Synopsis
Princess Muirgel’s land is overrun by Northmen, and her men believe their enemy is invincible as long as they have St. Patrick’s staff. Muirgel is determined to retrieve the staff and return it to the Irish where it rightfully belongs. So she travels to Dundalk and meets the handsome rogue, Conlan, a Norse-Irish mercenary whose deeds are sung by the poets as a renowned warrior and swordsman, the one man capable of defeating the Northmen. When she tells him he will be generously compensated for his efforts, the scoundrel Conlan has his own reward in mind...and it has nothing to do with gold...
