Seven years ago Caroline had considered Gareth Morgan unsuitable as a husband for herself – and if she had had any second thoughts about the affair – well, it was too late. But now she was to find herself part of Gareth’s life again, when she got a job in the part of Central Africa where he was now living. But Gareth wasted no time in telling her, ‘if you have any foolish notion of entertaining yourself while you’re here by trying to rekindle old fires, you’ll be wasting your time!’ But did she want to rekindle old fires?
