Synopsis

Our unlikely hero, Edward Lord Chevers, is grumpy from a head cold. Forced to ride the mail coach, he does not want to befriend his fellow passengers, despite the alluring smile of one in particular. Edward's on his way to a house party, to win back his erstwhile fiance. Ruthanne thinks Edward's a stuffy man and she doesn't believe half of what he tells her, but they're stranded at The Rose & Crown. Forced to nurse him, Ruthanne risks her reputation and her heart. As Edward's health returns, she's forcibly reminded viscounts don't fall in love with schoolteachers.
