Synopsis

She was no lady and had no desire to be one... Ellie was a whirlwind, a wild spirit, and it drove her mother mad. But Danielle Huntington had no interest in becoming a lady. She was in no rush to find a husband and would have waited even longer to be introduced to society, if it wasn't for her younger sister who insisted on having her older sister finally make her debut. Despite her not wanting to go to London for her first season, Danielle falls head over heels for her childhood best friend, who is three years her senior. Although a baroness of the local ton and her daughter constantly criticize and demeanor Danielle, she keeps her happy spirit. Things change when she receives a letter from her beloved cousin, confirming Ellie's fears that Eleanor's husband mistreats and tortures her. Knowing, quite well, that a man coming to her cousin's rescue would put Eleanor in even more danger, Danielle is determined to get Eleanor freed and away from her demonic husband. When her grandfather arrives, informing her that she is next in line to be duchess of the Huntington estate, Ellie refuses. But when her other cousin disappears during a visit to her sister, Danielle knows she has to make a deal with her grandfather and parents if she were to help, free and find her cousins. Her mission is terrifying, but no amount of danger would stop her from rescuing her cousins, even if it meant giving up her own life.
