Synopsis

For most of her life, Elizabeth Bennet was convinced she was the illegitimate daughter of Mr. Bennet, and she was treated as such: shunned by much of her local society and ignored by most of her family. Shortly after meeting the intriguing Mr. Darcy of Pemberley at an assembly in Meryton, Elizabeth learns that she is not who she thought she was. Her real father steps forward, and Elizabeth is obliged to take her place in society as the daughter of the Duke of Essex. Her new role takes her away from the only family she can remember…and away from Mr. Darcy, whose company she had enjoyed far more than any other gentleman’s. They do not meet again until the following winter. This story is a true Elizabeth and Darcy tale with no interference from the usual suspects. The focus is entirely on Our Dear Couple. That is not to say that their road is an easy one. There is one very powerful force that attempts to keep them apart. However, in the end, the two of them find their Happily Ever After.
