Previously published in LET IT SNOW: A HOLLY GROVE ANTHOLOGY Long-time Holly Grove mayor, Owen McMurphy, loves nothing more than his charming, idyllic, New England town and its people—especially during the holiday season, when he gets to plan the town’s renown annual tree lighting ceremony. Keeping the citizens of quirky little Holly Grove happy is hard work, though, and Owen needs a break. When he escapes town for a relaxing night at the ski lodge, Owen meets beautiful, single-mom, Elle Cohen, and he opens his heart to the possibility of love. Problem is, Elle is from Evergreen—the evil, modern town neighboring Holly Grove—and works for Owen’s long-time nemesis, Evergreen’s awful mayor, Harry Harrison. Harry, and his attempts to steal Holly Grove's beloved, historical train station for Evergreen’s own illicit purposes, is one giant headache for Owen, and the last thing he wants is to put Elle in the middle of the towns’ rivalry. Unbeknownst to Owen, however, it’s Holly Grove, not Evergreen, that holds a key to Elle’s past that can change her life forever.
