Synopsis

She’s searching for the truth. Janie Reynolds spends her days following leads to stories she feels are important. As an investigative journalist, uncovering the truth was quite literally her job. Scanning the streets of D.C. in search of a missing White House intern, not so much. But Janie’s instincts were good, and something was telling her there was more to the story than a young girl who ran away. He’s trying not to fall in love. Emmett Shaw was the leader of Echo Team. As part of R.I.S.C.’s elite private security world, it was his job to ensure he and his teammates lived up to the firm’s name. But it doesn’t take long to realize Washington D.C. came with its own set of rules. And when a smart, sexy journalist from Missouri comes to his office looking for help, Emmett instantly knows he’ll have to set a few of his own or risk blowing the best job he’s ever had. Mystery and danger pull them into their webs. With every answer they find, the more questions arise, making Janie a killer’s target.
