Synopsis

Tabitha is on a mission—visiting each of her aunts to unlock the secrets of love and marriage before she needs them. But Aunt Favor has a mission of her own. Her son has been sneaking off to visit an English girl at the bookshop in town, and Favor needs to know exactly who this girl is. Which is how Tabitha finds herself dispatched on a covert operation—armed with nothing but a cover story and a very unhelpful companion who keeps getting distracted by books on crop rotation. And then there's Favor’s mother-in-law Harriet, who lives too close for comfort. Always watching. Always listening. Always helping herself to Favor's kitchen, her sugar, and her private conversations. Some aunts offer wisdom. Aunt Favor offers chaos.
