She'd taken a wild risk telling Dr. David Woodrow that she was a private eye specializing in finding missing persons. But ex-policewoman Charlie Fuller was determined to be just that. She had to talk fast and convincingly to persuade the Yale professor that she could find his suddenly wayward, unpredictable, and very much missing mother. Reluctantly he agreed to let her try-then insisted on joining her in a tiny rented camper as they followed his mother's trail from Niagara Falls to Nashville and points west. Soon they were intimate strangers, embarked on a dangerous affair. What if he learned the truth? Would their passion survive the adventure's end?
