Synopsis

The story follows Liza Morgan, Art Director at the premier New York wedding boutique Vows, as she confronts a professional crisis involving her high-strung boss, Serge, and their demanding celebrity client, Trina Morrow. Trina's last-minute demand for a spectacular Christmas wedding in a "gingerbread house" forces Liza to propose a radical solution: her small, festive hometown of Silver Falls, Pennsylvania, home of the World Famous Swete Gingerbread Factory. This plan compels Liza to return to the town she fled after her parents' death and face her past, specifically her first love, Stephen Swete. Stephen, a widower and father of two, now runs the family gingerbread business. Liza secures the town's approval for the celebrity wedding, bringing her and Stephen into close proximity. Despite the challenges-including an antagonistic local florist, Anne, who is interested in Stephen, and the destruction of the gingerbread wedding gazebo-Liza and Stephen rekindle their relationship. Liza realizes she belongs in Silver Falls and quits her job. The story culminates with Liza and Stephen finding a future together, with Stephen thinking of proposing, and the final scene confirming they are married, expecting a child, and raising his two daughters.
