Synopsis

Call out "fire," and everything changes. Paramedics are supposed to be solid and heroic at all times. So how is it that Gabriel, the most enigmatic of the Bryant Brothers and first responder extraordinaire, finds himself imprisoned with a flock of disinterested chickens and flooded with torturous memories? With his "I'll handle it" mentality, Gabe becomes good and angry before calling out for help as he loses consciousness and lands in a flashback more painful than his injured shoulder. Alicia Drummond lost her husband, Victor, nine years ago and raised their son as a single mom. Brandon's left for his second year of college, and Alicia enjoys the free time more than she'd care to admit. Her days are filled with doing whatever she wants, whenever she wants to, primarily crafting wreaths and selling them online. It's a simple, quiet life she earned the hard way. But everything changes, including her open schedule, when someone yells, "Fire!" It's been said that there are no worse patients than medical professionals—doctors, nurses, paramedics, and the like.
