For five years she tried to forget him. During that time Clare had become a confident, mature, engaged woman -- as well as an internationally famous film star. "Rourke Somerville is bad news for any girl," the young Clare had been told. If only she had listened she would have spared herself a lot of pain, for Rourke had made a mockery of her love.
