Heather is serving time as a linguistics professor while she works towards her true goal: fantasy author. She certainly isn't interested in falling in love, especially not with the uptight, Austen-obsessed professor across the hall. And if Professor Darcy Delancey's groupies would find a different hallway to fill with their tittering, Heather might actually complete her latest manuscript. A writing contest offering a one-on-one meeting with Heather's dream agent seems like fate. Really, how hard could it be to write a short story adaptation using a traditional Jane Austen heroine? And what are the chances that the anonymous email she receives from the screening panel, the one praising her work as "heart-wrenching, insightful and provocative," could be from the man she's sworn to despise?
