Synopsis

When duty and desire collide, two women risk everything for a love that burns brighter than any blaze. Captain Jamie Dixon has spent twenty years building walls as solid as the fire lines she commands. At forty-four, she's the decorated backbone of her coastal station, disciplined, private, and haunted by a line-of-duty loss that taught her love is a distraction she can't afford. But when thirty-two-year-old paramedic Ivy Smith transfers in with a brilliant smile and a community outreach program that challenges everything Jamie believes in, her walls begin to crack. As a string of suspicious fires puts the department under scrutiny and forces them into close quarters, their clashing philosophies ignite a different kind of heat, one that neither woman can ignore, no matter how forbidden. With an arson investigation tightening, a local reporter hunting for scandal, and the ethics of an on-shift relationship threatening both their careers, Jamie and Ivy must navigate the impossible: duty versus desire, fear versus faith, and the question of whether love is worth the risk when lives hang in the balance. Jamie's survivor's guilt whispers that caring will cost her everything until a stolen kiss in the station locker room shatters her carefully maintained distance. In a small town where every choice becomes a headline and every call could be their last, two women fight for a program that saves lives, a department that needs healing, and a love fierce enough to weather any storm. This sapphic firefighter romance is a story of second chances, hard-won trust, and the courage to emerge from the flames with a lifetime of love.
