Veterinarian Julia Baker left her troubled past in Michigan to start a new life in small-town Texas. The desire to break the cycle of family turmoil is evident in every choice she makes. Her love for animals keeps her occupied and out of the dating scene. Startled by a knock on her door at 4:00 a.m., she is caught off guard by a handsome stranger who needs her help. She immediately shifts into doctor mode to save a Great Pyrenees; the emergency at hand is the only reason she can concentrate. Butcher Brad Daniels is known for his award-winning deli and meat market. Now that he has made a name for himself in Paradise, Texas, he would like to find that adventurous someone who shares his love of the outdoors.
