On a popular British television program, Beth sees an episode where the host, Pete, demonstrates a new computer program that can take a photo of an adult and regress the image to a young age. The resulting image looks just like her brother, who vanished thirty-eight years ago. When Beth tracks down Pete, he scoffs at her claim.
