Synopsis

Inspired by her own harrowing encounter with healthcare injustice, researcher-turned-author Maha has crafted a provocative sci-fi dark comedy that explores medical ethics, challenges the boundaries of biology and pseudoscience, and introduces a courageous heroine who dares to question the true cost of radical body transformations. As the Singularity looms, the notion of a fixed self is rapidly becoming obsolete. People increasingly shift between identities, bodies, and relationships. Aimée, a medtech, fights to preserve patient dignity in a hospital where radical body modification often takes precedence over life-saving surgery. After being fired due to mistaken identity, Aimée flees the chaos of Infinite Change and rekindles her passions for intimacy, justice, and autonomy. A series of questionable life choices leads her to seek a reboot, and she turns to "Into-Me-See," a treatment that promises to transform her from a hot mess into a hot date. Aimée's romantic comedy takes a dark and unexpected twist when she discovers her boyfriend is secretly working to erase women's biological purpose, and her hospital is at the heart of this disturbing conspiracy. With a healthy dose of narcissism, Aimée must muster the courage to confront the toxic blend of pseudoscience and genetic manipulation by facing off against the "Anti-Intimacy Movement."
