Jess Tucker, a bounty hunter, links up with his friend, Seamus Flaherty, whose grandaughter, Katie, has been kidnapped and taken into Mexico along with 50 head of cattle stolen from the Flaherty ranch. Seamus, who's 58 years old and crippled with rheumatism has no chance of recovering his daughter or the cattle, but Tucker is determined to help. It's a tale of intrigue in the Mexican desert and a tale of two people who fall in love while trying to hold on to the Flaherty ranch on the Frio River near. the town of Uvalde.
