Synopsis

When Camila reluctantly moves to her home state of Washington, she returns for one reason only: to be near her estranged mother after her health scare and, hopefully, mend their relationship. She expects loneliness—not a rain-soaked rescue of a stray cat, and certainly not a chance encounter with a kind, soft-spoken veterinarian who becomes her first friend in a place she swore she’d never call home again. Valeria has spent years clinging to a love that breaks her. She’s justified every misstep, endured every storm, and told herself leaving would hurt more than staying. But after one especially explosive argument, she’s done—determined to heal a heart she doesn’t think will recover. What begins as an easy friendship between Camila and Valeria unfolds into something neither of them is prepared for. Through laughter, tender moments, and unwavering support, the two discover that the most unforgettable love stories aren’t always the loud, fiery ones . . . sometimes they’re the gentle, patient ones that sneak up on you.
