Synopsis

I thought having my dashing fiancĆ© and my bubbly bestie with me during the most exciting time of my life would be a dream—too bad it turned into a nightmare. I’ve dedicated every waking moment in my life to dance. Over the past few years, my fiancĆ© and I have won countless competitions and climbed the ranks until we became the couple to beat. I’d always felt like the hours we spent training together had brought us closer. An invite to a reality TV dance competition is a dream come true; and the prize money would help me to achieve the goal I’ve spent my life working toward—owning my own studio. When my childhood bestie, Salli, and her dance partner are invited as well, I couldn’t have been happier. I was about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime with the two most important people in my life at my side. Everything was working out so perfectly …at least until after our plane landed in Atlanta. Then life found a particularly cruel way to knock me down when I caught my fiancĆ© and Salli performing a horizontal dance beneath the sheets. My dreams crashed down around me. Not only had I been betrayed by the two people I trusted most, but I no longer had a dance partner for the competition—which meant I’d have to drop out. That is, until a sexy wolf shifter steps out of the shadows, claiming I’m his mate. Weird, right? When he offers me a chance at revenge, I’m ready to accept whatever terms he offers. I have a feeling I’m going to fall before this is all over, and I don’t mean on stage… Last Minute Mate is a 10k word standalone novella. It was originally published in a shorter form in the Getting Witchy with It anthology in 2023, but has since been lengthened a bit. It is a fast-paced, fast-burn read. Please There is cheating in this story, however it is not by her fated mate. He just swoops in to put her heart back together.
