Clementine Foster was young and unbelievably naive when she fell wildly in love with the arrogant aristocrat, Deveril Grayshott, who didn't even know of her existence. When, one golden summer night she stepped in front of his horse, he took her with all the drunken arrogance of a young aristocrat used to having whatever he wanted.
