In a small village in the Ukrainian Carpathians, young man, Ivan, falls in love with Marichka, the daughter of his father's killer. However, he lost her tragically. Months later, he marries a rich woman, Palagna, but can´t forget his old love. Palagna decides to ask for help to Yurko, a local heeler, to save her marriage.
