In Book Four of the "Louisa Saga," Mrs. Louisa Wilton LeBois, now the mother of seven, embarks on a dangerous teaching slaves to read in a a state and at a time it was not legal. Her husband's passion for the cotton gin he manufactures is second only to his love for his wife and children.
