A cruise ship is perhaps the last place you’d look for con artists and murders. But this fast-moving sea drama reveals modern day piracy is alive and well, in a world where not everyone is quite as they appear. The planned voyage from England to New Zealand turns out to be not as straightforward as imagined. The travel brochure mentioned nothing about being chased through the Philippine jungle. The reader joins in the adventure and whilst enjoying both sensual and terrifying moments, is faced with the question of “will New Zealand ever be the final destination?”
