Synopsis

Such a fascinating deadfall in the ecology of power. Everyone knows that souls are for sale, and devils always collect. What happens after, however, may still be negotiable. We all must serve... Meet Beatrice. She's a muse, or she used to be. Everything changed when her afterlife was acquired. Now she's a devil, tempting mortals to sell their souls. There's a quota to meet, with bloody consequences for failure. She's sure as Hell not going to fall behind--even if Hell isn't exactly what it was. ...and everyone has a price. Meet Paul. His life is perfect, or it should be. But ever since he sold his startup, he's aimless, and he hates the boredom almost as much as he hates the new firm. He'll do anything to get his old job back. When he says as much to a mysterious stranger, the stranger makes him an offer, and Paul's life will never be the same. He might even say it goes to Hell. And now, I would like to make you a wager. Faust meets finance in this satirical modern romantasy, where the one saving grace of Hell is that there's nowhere to go but up--and maybe even out.
