Bea LeSabre cannot understand why things must change. Since childhood, she and Clay Lenoir have been best friends, sparring partners, confidants, and presumptive spouses. Their alliance – and the alliance of their organizations, Madame and the House – keeps them safe and allows everyone to prosper. Bea is not ready for change, but her girlfriend wants more.
