Synopsis

He's arrogant. Insufferable. The worst boss I could've imagined. And God help me — he's also the most gorgeous man I've ever seen. LUIZA GOULART I clawed my way to where I am. General Manager at GCR Tourism — the agency of my dreams — after walking away from a comfortable job to build something that was actually mine. Career on the rise, confidence sky-high, a social life people envy. Everything's perfect. Then he shows up. Victor Hugo. The new CEO. Long hair tied back in a samurai knot, tattoos peeking out from under his collar, a cocky smirk, and an arrogance that borders on ridiculous. He looks like he stepped out of a magazine shoot — and acts like the entire world owes him a favor. He calls me by a name that isn't mine. He drops the formalities without permission. He treats me like his personal assistant. And worst of all, he looks at me with that impossible-to-read smile, like he knows exactly what he does to me. I can't stand him. And the problem is, I can't stop thinking about him. VICTOR HUGO I show up hungover. I insult my employees without thinking twice. I dress how I want and say whatever I please. I'm the worst chief executive GCR Tourism has ever had — and I couldn't care less. At least, I didn't care. Until I met her. Luiza Goulart. The general manager. The woman who stands up to me like no one ever has, who isn't impressed by my last name or my bank account, and who has that smart mouth I want to shut up in every way imaginable. She hates me. And she says it to my face. I should leave her alone. I should focus on the job. I should stop provoking her just to watch her eyes flash with anger. I should. But I won't. ✔ Enemies to Lovers ✔ Boss / Employee ✔ Arrogant, Irreverent Hero ✔ Strong Heroine Who Gives as Good as She Gets ✔ Witty Banter & Sizzling Tension ✔ Workplace Forced Proximity ✔ Slow Burn
