To start afresh after being recently widowed, Penny Lawson leaves the city with her small son and returns to the scene of many happy childhood years. She moves into the now isolated and neglected caretaker's cottage, overlooking the sea, and accepts the help and friendship of persuasive estate agent Lance Patrick.
