Synopsis

I just fainted in the teachers’ lounge, and woke up in the arms of a firefighter. I was on my lunch break when Mrs. Patterson swung the cabinet door open, and it smacked me right in the temple. Moments later, I opened my eyes, and I was being cradled in the massive arms of a firefighter, and everyone in the teacher’s lounge was staring down at me. I tried to sit up and apologize for making a scene, but he kept one hand behind my head and said, “Easy now.” He's famous in our town, and all the other teachers want to date him. I could hear them whispering his name as he lifted me off the floor. Then I heard Mrs. Patterson laugh and say, " That's probably the closest she's ever been to a man." My face went hot, and I tried to laugh with them, but his arm tightened around me instead. He looked down at me in his arms, and growled loud enough for all of them to hear, "Are we still on for dinner tonight at seven, Ms. Cummins?"
