Ginny McDougall likes her New York apartment and her job as secretary, paralegal, and "mother hen" to young hotshot Manhattan lawyer Dennis Havilland. So when her boss's father comes to town to open a new law practice, she's pleased to spend a few days out of the office showing the old gentleman around. — But when he steps off the train and greets Ginny with a toe-tingling kiss, she's in for a surprise: Josh Havilland is a lean six-footer, just about her age, and the handsomest, most charming man she's ever met.
