Synopsis

Sylvia Hernandez is out to end her ex-boyfriend’s life. And she’s going to do it by testifying against him in the biggest human-trafficking case of the decade. The only problem? He’s out for blood too—and his mercenaries don’t play by the rules. After a third ambush nearly does her in, Sylvia’s case agent turns to the only man he trusts: U.S. Marshal Aaron Brennan. She’s his new assignment. Off-limits. Too bad she’s also the first woman to make him feel anything in years. Single dad Aaron Brennan was looking forward to having the summer off-not babysitting a sharp-tongued witness with a death sentence on her head. Now, he’s trapped in a house with a too-young, spoiled woman that keeps reminding him of all those pesky things he swore off after his divorce. She’s chaos. He’s control. but somehow...they may just speak the same language.
