To recover from an unfortunate love affair, Florena helps the distinguished archaeologist, Jacques Curratt, on the local dig. Jacques invites her to Geneva to join him as his asssistant. This plunges her into conflict with his photographer, the glamorous Gracila. Jacques' widowed brother, Karl, implores Florena to look after his small daughter who has been hurt in a road accident. Florena is well aware of Karl's fond regard for her, but she is tormented by her feeling for Jacques. And Gracila insists that Jacques belongs to her...
